Welcoming pre-school children to life competencies and early literacy.
Peep inside Dan and Kim’s family bookshop and discover the marvellous miniature world of their toy rabbits, Pippa and Pop! This three-level pre-primary English course stimulates the imagination and fosters a love of stories, songs and rhymes, helping very young learners to acquire early life competencies.

Language Practice 1 and Sounds and Letters
Lesson 3 is an opportunity for children to put the words and grammar of the previous lesson into practice. This is followed by Sounds and Letters, a lesson focusing on early literacy skills.
Children practise target language and interact with the book by sticking stickers, listening, pointing and speaking.
There is more pen-to-paper and
speaking practice in the Activity
Book.
The interactive activities in Presentation Plus reward children for their efforts with gold stars.
The unit song is learners’ first contact with the unit vocabulary. It’s also one of the unit’s objectives.
Activities supporting Learning to Learn competencies are clearly flagged with
a purple shield in the teaching notes.
A video introduces the unit topic in
a fun way, engaging children with
the theme of the unit.
Photos encourage children to
relate the topic to their own lives.
The lively photos, video and song of the Unit Opener engage young learners with the unit theme. In this lesson, the teachers also share the unit objectives with the class, helping to promote Learning to Learn skills. The colourful scene featuring Kim and Dan’s family and their bookshop presents the first set of target language.

An opportunity to review the
unit objectives with the class.
Learning through Play activities involving dressing up, arts and movement, pen-to-paper and listening tasks to review progress.
The final two lessons of the unit offer a chance to review learning and progress, and to apply the knowledge gained in the unit to an exciting creative project. Additional self-evaluation activity reviews the unit language and, at the same time, trains children to be reflective and more autonomous learners.

to Learn skills.
Pippa and Pop’s adventures stimulate children’s imagination and serve as a backdrop to the new language set.
The miniature world and adventures of Pippa and Pop present the second set of key language while the rhyme and rhythm of the chant aid children’s memory and language practice.
Language Presentation and Practice 2
Interactive games in Presentation Plus and flashcard games provide more fun opportunities for review.
By the end of Level 3, children will
learn to count up to 100.
Numbers lessons also cover basic maths and critical thinking skills, such as pattern recognition and concepts of more and less.
Gradual introduction of numbers –
two at a time.
For a rounded approach to learning, Pippa and Pop creates opportunities for the youngest learners to develop numeracy
skills and to explore topics from across the curriculum.

Learning to Learn Activity
A write-in book, it is where a lot of the Learning to
Learn activities are included, like self-evaluation
pages. There are stickers in the back of the book
for completing some of the activities. This book
offers an additional 2 hours of teaching per week.
An optional component with 6 extra pages of letters
and numbers practice per unit. This component adds another hour of teaching per week.
An essential resource for teachers with step-by-step
lesson guidance, answers, and additional ideas for
games and extra activities.
The Teacher’s' Digital Pack includes Class audio and songs, Presentation Plus, including: Videos, Interactive routine boards, Interactive practice activities, Games, Answer keys, Digital big book, Digital flashcards and Phonics activities.
All of the literature stories are in a large format, making
it perfect for reading together. The digital version of the
Big Book in Presentation Plus has the option to show the stories with and without the text.
