1. The Competition is open to teachers and tutors over the age of eighteen (18).
2. All entries must be in the English language.
3. Internet access is required in order to participate in the Competition. Only one entry per person (Entrant) will be accepted.
4. In order to enter the Competition, you will need to upload a video to the following website: (URL no longer active - competition closed) that is between 90 seconds and two (2) minutes in length and no more than 10MB, telling us what you love about English language teaching and showing us how you teach English to non-native speakers (Video Clip).
5. For privacy reasons, no individual other than the Entrant should be seen or heard in the Video Clip.
6. The Competition runs in two stages: a. Stage 1: opens on 19th September 10:00 GMT and closes on 31st October 2018 at 23:59 GMT (the Competition Period). b. Stage 2: opens on 12th November at 12:00 GMT and closes on 19th November at 12:00 GMT (the Voting Window).
7. Entries received before commencement of or after the expiry of the Competition Period will not be valid for entry into the Competition and will be disregarded by Cambridge, but data may still be used in accordance with these terms and conditions and any terms or consents set out on the registration form.
8. At the conclusion of the Competition Period, a panel of judges appointed from within Cambridge’s organisation will select ten (10) Video Clips for publication on Cambridge’s Facebook page (Shortlisted Video Clips).
9. The Video Clips will be judged based on the quality of the Entrant’s presenting and the quality of the content that they present.
10. Entrants whose Video Clips are chosen for publication will be informed via email before the start of the Voting Window.
11. During the Voting Window, visitors to Cambridge’s Facebook page will be able to cast one vote for their favourite video clip, via the Woo box app on Cambridge’s Facebook page.
12. The four (4) Entrants who submitted the Video Clips with the highest number of votes at the end of the Voting Window will be declared the winners (Competition Winners)
13. Competition winners will be notified via email no later than 21st November 2018.
14. The Competition Winners will be announced on: a. Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/CambridgeUPELT)b. Twitter (https://twitter.com/CambridgeUPELT)c. Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/cambridgeupelt/)d. YouTube (http://youtube.com/cambridgeUPELT) e. Cambridge’s ELT blog (http://www.cambridge.org/elt/blog/) (together, the Social Media Channels)
15. The Competition Winners will each win a 12 month video production contract with Cambridge, worth up to £2400 (Contract).
16. Under the Contract:a. Competition Winners will be required to create: i. One (1) video introducing themselves to Cambridge’s followers on the Learn English with Cambridge YouTube page. ii. Twelve (12) videos teaching a topic or theme to learners of English as a second language (one per month). (together the Teaching Clips) b. The Teaching Clips shall each be: i. Approximately two minutes long. ii. Edited and produced to a high standard. c. Cambridge will provide Competition Winners with a laptop with editing software, and lighting equipment for 12 months, for the purpose of filming the Teaching Clips. d. Competition Winners will assign all intellectual property rights in the Teaching Clips to Cambridge. e. Cambridge shall have sole discretion whether to approve the Teaching Clips for publication.f. The Teaching Clips will be published on the Learn English with Cambridge YouTube page (the YouTube Channel) g. For each Teaching Clip published by Cambridge on the YouTube Channel, the Competition Winner will receive £200 (or if the Competition Winner is based outside the UK, the equivalent in local currency).
17. Competition Winners should be available to attend, (in person or remotely) half a day’s training run by Cambridge between December 2018 and January 2019.
18. For the avoidance of doubt, entering the Contract does not create an employment relationship with Cambridge.
19. If a Competition Winner does not sign the Contract within 1 month of receiving it, Cambridge reserves the right to offer the prize to the Entrant(s) from the Shortlist who created the next-most voted for Video Clip.
20. The Video Clip and all material and information provided by the Entrants to Cambridge shall collectively be referred to as the“Entry Materials”.
21. The Entrant hereby warrants to Cambridge that:(i) The Entrant has the right to enter this Competition;(ii) The Entry Materials shall be true and accurate and to the best of the Entrants knowledge will not contain any libellous, obscene, unlawful or otherwise objectionable material;(ii) the Entry Materials shall be entirely original to the entrant and have not already been published in whole or in part in any form; (iii) the Entry Materials shall contain nothing that is in any way an infringement of any existing copyright or licence or other intellectual property rights of any third-party; and (iv) the Entry Materials contain nothing that in any way breaches a duty of confidentiality or discloses any private or personal information of any person.
22. The Entrant hereby assigns, with full title guarantee, the full copyright in all forms and media and in all languages throughout the world, present and future, and all rights in the nature of intellectual property rights including rental, lending and database rights and all other publishing rights, subsisting in the Entry Materials to Cambridge, to the fullest extent permitted by law and for the full legal period of copyright in the Entry Materials.
23. The Entrant hereby waives all moral rights in respect of the Entry Materials under the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and, so far as is legally possible, any broadly equivalent rights in any territory of the world.
24. The prizes are non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged by the winner for cash or credit or any other product. There is no cash alternative.
25. No bulk, third party or automated entries permitted or those submitted via macros or similar. Cambridge may disallow entries, refuse to award any prize, or seek its recovery, in the event of an entrant's fraud, dishonesty or non-entitlement under these terms and conditions.
26. By entering this Competition you agree, if selected as a Competition Winner, to participate in all related publicity as may reasonably be requested by Cambridge, including but not limited to: press, print and online publicity (which will include publication of your name and may include a photograph of you).
27. Cambridge accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed or rendered invalid due to incorrect participant data, lack of network coverage, system, software or hardware failure or for any other reason beyond its control. Entries that are not submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions and/or that are delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered, illegible or otherwise defective will be disqualified.
28. Your personal information: By entering the Competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the Competition entry may be held and used by Cambridge or its agents and suppliers to administer the Competition.
29. Cambridge will not sell your personal information to others or release it to others without your prior consent, and will only use your personal data as outlined in Cambridge’s privacy policy (http://www.cambridge.org/about-us/legal-notices/privacy-policy/).

31. The Competition is run by Cambridge and is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administrated by or associated with the Social Media Channels.
32. The Competition is not open to employees of Cambridge, their agents or contractors and anyone else connected with the Competition.
33. If there is a conflict between these terms and conditions and any other terms whatsoever attached to any other advertising material in respect of the Competition, these terms and conditions will apply.
34. Cambridge reserves the right to cancel the Competition at any time. No correspondence will be entered into.
35. The Competition and these terms and conditions (including any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of them) are subject to English law and any disputes or claims must be referred to English courts.
