Chicago is a critical supply chain link for CN. More than 500 freight trains pass through the region daily, and CN's rail ring route takes cargo around the city, rather than through it, to cut the congestion for our customers. As an important rail hub for the U.S. Midwest, CN has invested in a terminal to plan for future growth while ensuring current terminal operations remain fluid. The new Chicago Logistics Hub is set to open in 2026.
