My favourite thing about working at Carter Jonas is having the opportunity to learn. It’s a very welcoming and supportive environment, and since I’ve joined, my colleagues have been very willing to share their knowledge about the business and how it operates, which in turn enables me to get much better at my job.

Our people
Charity support
Carter Jonas is a proud supporter of a variety of national charitable organisations including Pathways to Property, which aims to encourage more diversity into the surveying profession. We are also one of LandAid’s strategic partners, which aims at improving the lives of economically and socially disadvantaged children and young people in the UK through providing grant funding to smaller, regional and local charities.
Beyond this, we also support our people in their own charity fundraising efforts by providing match funding to help them make a stronger impact in the things that matter to them the most.
Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI)
Our Equality Diversity and Inclusion Network was created in 2017 to raise awareness and increase the understanding of EDI. It also helps promote policies and practices across all stakeholders, acting as a consultative group to influence and improve policy and practices within Carter Jonas, our clients and suppliers.
Our commitment to being an open and inclusive organisation is also at the heart of our People Strategy 2025. We recognise increasing diversity within our workplace strengthens our talent pipelines, encourages better team collaboration, and improves performance and customer satisfaction. This is supported by our EDI strategy which now has smart targets, with a detailed action plan to achieve them, along with focussed KPIs.
Personal and professional development
As an employer, Carter Jonas encourages everyone to continue their learning and development, to optimize their performance and fulfil their potential, and we are proud to have achieved the Investors in People Gold Standard.
We provide all colleagues and partners with relevant
in-house training and development opportunities through the course of their career with us, as well as consider sponsorship to those looking to complete professional qualifications and explore the apprenticeship pathways available, whether that’s NVQs or MBAs.

As an example, our IT systems have been modified to reduce the use and wastage of paper and have invested in system resilience to support all members of the firm to be able to work remotely.
