We have surveyed over 600 participants from our extensive customer
database so that we can provide our tenants and landlords with the best possible insight and improved services when renting through and with Carter Jonas.
Three quarters of professional sharers and two-thirds of couples would prefer to move into a house over a flat.
One of the predominant trends within the Build to Rent sector has been the expansion of the age and demographic of residents. In our survey this year we wanted to understand whether this trend reflects the aspirations and requirements of our customer base. In addition, we wanted to identify any emerging trends and what is most important to our residents.
Among other things, our results showed:
A high proprtion of flat renters would pay more for onsite management and gym facilities
A surprisingly high number of respondents in houses said they would pay more for regular resident events
Only 23% of flat respondents aged 20-39 would choose to live in a flat while the rest would prefer a house
