Relaxing at the end of the day, Bob receives a notification from the WorkActivate app about the progress he has made and how he’s tracking to his RTW schedule. He’s happy with his progress and looks forward to getting back to work!
At 5:00 p.m., Bob is ready to do his daily exercises as prescribed by his physician. He sits in front of his Kinect and TV, and begins to do his leg lifts. The Kinect records the motion of his exercises. Once complete, Bob is able to send a video recording of his progress to his physician and physical therapist.
At 3:00 p.m., Bob is alerted that he has a scheduled video chat with his RTW coordinator. His coordinator asks him how he’s doing and if he needs any additional support. Bob feels supported and expresses his desire to get back on his feet!
At lunch, Bob reviews the articles and videos WorkActivate has recommended about his injury. He knows he can earn points as part of his company’s Health and Wellness Program if he reads several articles. He can then use the points to buy items in his company’s online store.
Having submitted the short-term disability claims form, Bob then uses the WorkActivate calculator to determine his income if he doesn’t return to work in the prescribed time frame. Bob is motivated to return back to work, as he sees a decline in his disability pay if he’s out for an extended period of time.
In the morning, Bob checks if he’s filed all the necessary claims paperwork for his insurer. He sees that he needs to sign one form as part of the claims process. Bob e-signs and submits the form through the WorkActivate app.
Bob Jones has worked for his company for years. One day, Bob is in a motorcycle accident and breaks his leg. As prescribed by his physician, Bob needs to stay home from work for five weeks.
As Bob starts short-term disability, he’s able to stay connected with his Return to Work (RTW) coordinator, physician, insurer, and employer with the Cognizant WorkActivate™ mobile app.
What does a day of short-term disability look like for Bob? Let’s explore his routine.
