Finding Technology to Deliver a Visually Engaging Content Experience
When the Ravens decided to move towards a ‘visual-first’ approach for all web content, it was imperative to find technology partners that aligned with that paradigm shift. The addition of Ceros and Libris to their marketing tech stack has enabled them to create stunning visual content experiences that evoke greater connections with their fans.
Why the Baltimore Ravens use Libris and Ceros
for their new visual-first approach to content.
Libris Gives the Ravens Instant Access to Photos and Visual Assets
Using Libris, the Ravens have unlocked a slew of real-time and daily content options. The team can now update social media, event recaps, and daily posts in real-time because they have instant access to images in the cloud. Libris is the Ravens primary method to manage photo assets, which means the team’s best visual content is always at their fingertips, whether it was created in a game today or in the team’s first season.
Images captured on the field are instantly uploaded to the cloud and stored in the Libris digital media library.
Photos uploaded to Libris are accessed by the Ravens media team directly from the booth, allowing them to use the images in real-time.
Longtime Ravens photographer, Phil Hoffmann, captures iconic images of the team throughout every game.
Using Ceros, the Ravens Quickly Create Beautiful Web Experiences
The Ravens implemented Ceros to enhance their content creation process, and bring static assets to life in unique and immersive ways. The Ceros platform enables their designers to leverage their visual assets to create bespoke interactive web experiences for their fans without any coding.

Capture
Prior to the digital camera, a
sports photographer’s workflow was extremely tedious. Shooting dozens of rolls of film per game, the manual process of capturing
every moment was hard work.
The process became easier with the advent of the digital camera, but only slightly.

24 HOURS
36+ HOURS
Immediately after a game, photographers would work through the night to develop the rolls of film. Once finished, they’d sort through hundreds of images to find the best ones, create prints, and then mail them to the team for review.
With the selected prints in hand days later, or even the digital images available after the game, the team would take time to produce fan content typically in the format of print based articles or website posts.
