In a recent survey from The Chronicle, 97 percent of college officials said that colleges need to improve the ways through which they use institutional data to inform strategic decisions. However, when asked if they believed their own institutions were doing a good job, just six out of ten surveyed agreed. Participants cited opportunities to improve several aspects of academia, from business and financial operations to improvements in academic advising.
