Welcome to the fourth year of our Citywire Selector Service Awards! We consistently hear from fund selectors that good service really matters, and in this challenging year it has been more important than ever. We therefore want to recognise the asset management groups who are leading the way in providing information promptly, communicating the impact of a crisis and listening to their clients’ needs. This year, 313 fund selectors from across Europe shared their views, allowing us to see which groups are best in class in 15 different service criteria, as well as in seven regional awards and two special awards. SELECTOR SERVICE AWARDS 2020

DEFINING VALID SCORE SETS From individuals involved in fund selection, fund analysis, investment management/ advice and fund of funds management. Non-duplicate – if duplicate completed entries exist, the most recent has been used. DEFINING THE ASSET MANAGERS ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION Part of the peer group of 53 active asset managers, as defined by being in last year’s peer group and receiving a minimum number of valid score sets, or being eligible for the Global Distribution Leaders Summit 2019. Firms who have received more than a minimum number of valid score sets are eligible to qualify for an award.

CITYWIRE SELECTOR SERVICE CATEGORY AWARDS 2020 Determined by the highest average score across all regions by an individual asset manager with more than the minimum number of required scores in the appropriate category. CITYWIRE SELECTOR SERVICE REGIONAL AWARDS 2020 Determined by the highest average score by an asset manager with the minimum number of required scores from respondents based in that region across all service categories. CITYWIRE SELECTOR SERVICE OPEN CHOICE AWARD 2020 Determined by highest total nominations to

the question: ‘And finally, please nominate the single 3rd party asset manager who has provided you with the best service overall in the last 12 months. You can nominate any asset manager with active funds registered for sale in Europe – this will contribute to a special category in our Selector Service Awards.’ CITYWIRE SELECTOR SERVICE MOST IMPROVED SERVICE AWARD 2020 Determined by having the highest average positive percentage change between 2020 and 2019 scores across all service factors. Eligible groups must have received the minimum number of scores in both 2019 and 2020, and have shown an improvement in eight or more service factors. The awards methodology has been reviewed and the results audited by AKG Financial Analytics. AKG is an independent organisation specialising in the provision of assessment, ratings, information and market assistance to the financial services industry.
