The Wealth Manager Conference & Awards are back, and on 10-11 March, 2022 we will make an eagerly awaited return to the Westminster Park Plaza in London.
We are excited to welcome you to this flagship Citywire event, and are putting together an agenda that will make it one to remember. Alongside our brilliant keynote speakers, two of which are listed below, we will also provide a day and a half of top-level investment insight and networking.
The Adviser Choice Awards are back too. As ever, the awards will recognise the leading firms in each region, and give us an opportunity to recognise those who are going above and beyond for their clients.
There is no charge for attending (which is strictly by invitation only) and you will earn up to 8 hours of structured CPD.
The keynote speaker lineup for this event will include:
Chess grandmaster Judit Polgar. Judit Polgár became the youngest ever Grandmaster at 15 years old and is generally considered the strongest female chess player of all time. At the age of 9, Polgár won her first international tournament in New York and she was 11 when she defeated a Grandmaster for the first time. If you’re interested in strategy in its purest forms, her keynote is a must-see session.
We will also welcome renowned neuroscience speaker and science outreach fellow at Magdalene College Cambridge, Dr. Hannnah Critchlow, She has a passion for demystifying the workings of the human brain, and analysing how our perceptions of the world affect our decision-making processes.
We anticipate an exciting and lively return for the Citywire Wealth Manager Conference & Awards, and look forward to welcoming you on the day.
Kind regards,

In 1991 Judit Polgár became the youngest ever Grandmaster at just 15-year-old. She is generally regarded as the strongest female chess player of all time and in 2001 was proclaimed the Female Chess Player of the Century. At the age of 9, Polgár won her first international tournament in New York. This became a cover story in The New York Times. She was 11 when she defeated a Grandmaster for the first time. She became a world youth champion at the age of 12, and then 14 against boys only.
The goal for Judit and her parents was to achieve the world championship title, as opposed to the women’s world championship. She made sure to only sit down at open and men’s tournaments. At the age of 12 and then 14, Judit performed her last two women’s tournaments, along with her team which was composed of her sisters Susan and Sofia as well as Ildiko Madl. Together they won the first - and second - Women’s Olympic Champion’s titles in Hungarian chess history.
Polgár won the title of International Grandmaster in 1991, at the age of 15, breaking the record of the legendary Bobby Fischer and becoming the youngest Grandmaster of all times. By 2004, Polgár had advanced to the 8th place in the absolute world rankings, and in 2005, she had the chance to play for the men’s world title in San Louis.
In her final years as an active chess player, she won a bronze medal at the Men’s European Championships in 2011 and represented Hungary eight times as a member of the men’s team at the Chess Olympiad, having won two silver medals, the second one in 2014.
