Our Chicago team hosted the second annual CCDI Hoops to Hard Hats Basketball Tournament and awarded $25,000 in Build Our Future Scholarships to five deserving students representing Wards 7, 10, 18, 20, and 37. In just two years, the tournament has helped provide $55,000 in scholarships to Chicago students as they pursue their educational and career goals.
Shayla Fuller represented CCDI Atlanta at the Newton and Rockdale Student Workforce Experience at Georgia Piedmont Technical College. The event hosted 70 local seniors who are interested in earning certifications and moving directly into the workforce. Rivian, Georgia Power Company, Clayco and MAU Workforce Solutions joined to speak with students about career pathways and opportunities in the industry.
CCDI St. Louis hosted a Saturday Academy at Clayco in partnership with Millstone Weber, LLC Project PAVE program. The focus of this session was construction technology and blueprint reading. Students learned how to read blueprints and use an architectural scale and other measuring tools to better understand how ideas translate into the built environment.
CCDI South Bend was proud to present Safety Engineer Intern, Rickey Stevenson, with a college scholarship to cover his final school year at Murray State! Rickey was been a great addition to his team during his internship. He brought a positive attitude and came to the job every day ready to learn and work. He was welcomed back to the Clayco team after graduation with a full-time position.
