By partnering with CCDI and our mission, we work with businesses to help create an environment where those interested in the construction industry can enter and be successful and retained. We will help our industry partners continue their efforts grow the local workforce by supplying the right training and mentorship to students, underrepresented and underemployed young adults in our community.

“
CCDI were proud to present Safety Engineer Intern, Rickey Stevenson, with a college scholarship to cover his final school year at Murray State. He brings a positive attitude and comes to the job every day ready to learn and work! We hope to welcome him back to the team after graduation.
CCDI’s mission is to bring diversity to the design and construction industry by mentoring and exposing minority, underrepresented and underserved communities to career development in construction. Our guiding principles include: One-on-one mentorship, raising awareness for construction opportunities, spread knowledge about the industry and provide life skills training needed to succeed, assist with job placement, and encourage those in our program to be lifelong learners.
Fulfilling a Need
Our mentorship emphasizes academic goals. We encourage jobseekers to pursue two- or four-year degrees, focusing on tuition assistance.

Mentees
Mentors
Our mentors provide CCDI with their time, energy and resources to help our program and our participants. CCDI relies on industry leaders from construction pathways to be mentors to our CCDI participants. It is our mentorship’s hands-on, one-on-one approach that has made our St. Louis program such a success.
Employers
CCDI connects business owners with jobseekers by making them a part of the workforce development process. We offer business owners the opportunity to participate in our career fairs to meet with our CCDI participants one on one and find jobseekers that are training in their field.
