Solution
By partnering with CCDI and our mission, we work with businesses to help create an environment where those interested in the construction industry can enter and be successful and retained. We will help our industry partners continue their efforts grow the local workforce by supplying the right training and mentorship to students, underrepresented and underemployed young adults in our community.
The construction industry is facing a workforce shortage
Our Goal
”
“
CCDI had an incredible day partnering with Walton County, GA, for an outreach event, hosted right on the Rivian jobsite. More than 130 students from four local high schools explored exciting career paths in construction and manufacturing, gaining hands-on insight into how these industries power local
economic growth.
CCDI’s mission is to bring diversity to the design and construction industry by mentoring and exposing minority, underrepresented and underserved communities to career development in construction. Our guiding principles include: One-on-one mentorship, raising awareness for construction opportunities, spread knowledge about the industry and provide life skills training needed to succeed, assist with job placement, and encourage those in our program to be lifelong learners.
Fulfilling a Need
Our mentorship emphasizes academic goals. We encourage jobseekers to pursue two- or four-year degrees, focusing on tuition assistance.

Mentees
Mentors
Our mentors provide CCDI with their time, energy and resources to help our program and our participants. CCDI relies on industry leaders from construction pathways to be mentors to our CCDI participants. It is our mentorship’s hands-on, one-on-one approach that has made our St. Louis program such a success.
Employers
CCDI connects business owners with jobseekers by making them a part of the workforce development process. We offer business owners the opportunity to participate in our career fairs to meet with our CCDI participants one on one and find jobseekers that are training in their field.

Join our Program
The construction industry can offer both job security and a comfortable living wage. But most skilled trade positions in construction require formal training or an apprenticeship program. CCDI’s mission is to help guide jobseekers through the system, offering support and guidance toward successful internships, employment and promotion.
Recent Events
Volunteers from CCDI, Clayco, Concrete Strategies and Rivian recently participated in a Career Connections Expo with four local high schools in Loganville, Georgia. Juniors and seniors attended in separate sessions, allowing students to engage deeply with the career booths and demonstrations that interested them most.
The event featured a variety of interactive experiences. Together, our teams collaborated seamlessly by supporting one another, promoting the value of each organization, and inspiring the next generation of industry professionals.
