We incorporated 100% native vegetation for landscaping to enhance biodiversity and reduce maintenance.
We increased carbon sequestration to 525 tons over 50 years, which is equivalent to removing the CO2 emissions from approximately 114 cars annually.
Clayco and LJC Commit to the St. Louis
Region with New Office Expansion
The existing building was developed by CRG, designed by LJC, and built by Clayco in 2012. Our team opted for adaptive reuse over new construction, to significantly reduce our ecological footprint. This strategic decision led to a considerable reduction in CO2 emissions, akin to removing thousands of cars from the road and significantly minimizing other environmental impacts.
The synergy between functional workspaces and environmental sustainability paves the way for a future where environmental stewardship and workplace efficiency coexist.

The dedication to environmental responsibility extends to using sustainable materials, reducing construction/demolition waste recycling, replacing hardscape and asphalt for green/communal spaces, and increasing alternative transportation measures with closer proximity to public transit and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
