Our journey throughout this season has been nothing short of transformative on multiple fronts. On behalf of Rock Entertainment Group (REG) – encompassing the Cleveland Cavaliers, Monsters, Charge, Legion and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse – we are proud to present the 2023-24 Community Impact Report. This report showcases a year filled with notable accomplishments and highlights the accelerating momentum of our mission to support communities in Greater Cleveland, across the region and around the world.
IMPACT REPORT
ECONOMIC IMPACT
With over 150 events that draw more than 1 million people downtown each year, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse continues to stimulate hundreds of millions of dollars in economic activity annually. Since its inception in 1994, the Gateway Sports and Entertainment Complex, which includes Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and Progressive Field, has been a catalyst for nearly $2 billion in completed, underway or funded retail, residential and hotel development in the Gateway district alone. Gateway, which is also the city’s most visited neighborhood, welcomes over five million visitors each year.

TEAM MEMBER VOLUNTEERISM
Team Members volunteered over 3,600 hours of their time during the fiscal year. Team Members strive to make a difference in our community. Team Members volunteer at company-driven volunteer events and initiatives with local non-profits and engage in individual volunteer efforts.
COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The foundation directly supports the development and well-being of youth in Northeast Ohio. The foundation has been granting funds to local non-profit organizations since its inception in 1993. $337K granted during the 23-24 season.
WINE & GOLD GALA
The fundraising event is organized to specifically support programs, organizations and nonprofits that invest in the youth of Northeast Ohio and their promising futures. Among the 550 guests in attendance last year, $1M was raised.
CAVS IN PARIS
In January 2024, the Cleveland Cavaliers played in the National Basketball Association’s third regular-season game in Paris, France against the Brooklyn Nets. During their time in Paris, the Cavs partnered with the City of Paris and its "Bouge et Partage," or Move and Share Project, to host a Cavs Clinic for local youth.
CAVS IN BRAZIL
The Cleveland Cavaliers demonstrated their ongoing commitment to growing the game of basketball by unveiling the team’s fourth Brazilian basketball court renovationin Valinhos. The court was completed in partnership with Eaton, an intelligent power management company.
Special Olympics International
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Special Olympics International formed a partnership to deliver more inclusive experiences for athletes of any background or ability. At the 2024 NBA Paris Game, the partnering organizations named Cavs Player Tristan Thompson as the Special Olympics’ newest Global Ambassador.

MONUMENTAL MOMENTS
2024 NCAA WOMENS FINAL FOUR
In 2018, the NCAA awarded the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Mid-American Conference and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse the 2024 NCAA Women’s Final Four. This marked the second time in history Cleveland hosted the tournament with the first coming in 2007.
The 2024 NCAA Women’s Final Four at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse reached unprecedented levels of success and elevated women’s basketball to new heights. Both semifinal games and the championship game were played before sell-out crowds and the tournament set the record as the most watched Women’s Final Four in history with a television audience of 40.5 million. Additionally, the community events in Cleveland during the week and weekend of the tournament reached levels of participation and engagement not seen in many years.
CLEVELAND CLINIC PEAK PERFORMANCE CENTER
In September 2023, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Clinic and Bedrock Real Estate revealed conceptual plans for the team’s new performance center and trainingfacility – The Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center – in downtown Cleveland.
Designed by globally renowned architectural firm, Populous, the first-of-its-kind performance center will bethe first vertical development of Bedrock’s pioneering Cuyahoga Riverfront Master Plan, a $3.5 billion vision for the city of Cleveland. The master plan will advance 35 acres of the riverfront, prioritizing accessibility and sustainability. This latest evolution of the partnership between the Cavaliers and the Cleveland Clinic will create a lasting community asset that invites elite and everyday athletes from around the world to Cleveland.
ROCKET MORTGAGE FIELDHOUSE
Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is Northeast Ohio’s premier sports and entertainment facility. Home of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Monsters and the annual Mid-American Conference (MAC) Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse hosts major attractions, top-tier concerts, family shows and signature events. Each year, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse hosts 150–175 diverse ticketed events and 1,400 private events that draw more than one million patrons to downtown Cleveland. These events have a lasting and significant cultural and economic impact on the city, county and broader Northeast Ohio region.
The world-class concerts, community events and family shows hosted each year at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse position the venue as one of the region’s largest drivers of economic activity.
CAVS YOUTH BASKETBALL
The Cleveland Cavaliers are committed to inspiring future generations to grow the game of basketball. With over 55,000 total athletes, the Cavs Youth Sports programs have a mission to motivate the youth of Ohio and beyond to be active, make championship choices on and off the court and build confidence in their athletic abilities through the game of basketball.
MONSTERS YOUTH HOCKEY
The Cleveland Monsters continued on their mission to ‘Grow the Game’ of hockey across Northeast Ohio with several clinics and partnerships over the year. The team held a special Girls Grow the Game Street Hockey Clinic led by two-time Olympic silver medalist and former Team USA goaltender Brianne McLaughlin. McLaughlin led 34 girls in drills to introduce them to the sport and met with each participant after for a special photo shoot with her medals.

CLEVELAND MONSTERS - AHL
The Cleveland Monsters Foundation invests in organizations that directly support the health and well-being ofat-risk populations in Northeast Ohio and provide access to hockey in our community.
CLEVELAND CHARGE - GLEAGUE
Coming off the third year in Cleveland, the Charge has laid a foundation as a true community partner. Building off last year’s success, the Charge nearly doubled their impact in the community through tickets, donations, grants and hands-on support.
CLEVELAND LEGION GC - NBA 2K LEAGUE
The Cavs Legion Gaming Club (GC), the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers, has positively influenced the lives of gamers and childrenin Northeast Ohio and beyond. Through their initiatives, Cavs Legion GC has successfully connected gaming, esports and the use of technology to create meaningful experiences and opportunities for the community.
