It’s time to introduce a refreshed and updated brand that reflects today’s Cavaliers. Our city and fan base have embraced this new generation of talented young players and, as we enter a new era of Cavs basketball, it is time to give them a mark of their own.

The primary icon “Cavs C” remains the most emphasized logo. Worn on the jerseys and displayed at center court during the 2016 championship era, this evolved rendition of the “Cavs C” features an updated Cavaliers Gold.
The Global "Shield" logo is an evolved icon from its original version introduced in 2017. The icon features the updated Cavaliers Gold and the reduction of the sword.
The secondary logo features the same typeface as the 2017-22 wordmark, with the inclusion of an evolved “V net” in homage to Cavs 80s era, and an in-line detail reminiscent of the 90s Cavs logo.
Pulled directly from the secondary logo, the partial “V Net” logo, when set aside, displays visual representations of the Larry O’Brien trophy. This logo is a nod to the Cavs 80s visual identity, and an aspiration icon to compete at a championship level both on and off the court.
They thought they knew us. They thought they had Cleveland alllllllll figured out.
But while they weren’t looking, we stayed true to ourselves.
They thought they knew us... But Imagine what they’ll know us as now..
This… is an enlightenment.
The opportunity to show the world exactly who we are.
Because Cleveland, we are...
Creators. Players. Lovers. Movers. Singers. Dreamers. Lights to the next generation.
They should’ve known better. Because they had opinions on our city.
But we wear it across our chest. Because being from Cleveland, we know exactly who we are.
