Cleveland Clinic, consistently ranked as one of the world’s top hospitals, the Cleveland Cavaliers, one of the NBA's most storied franchises and Bedrock, one of the country’s leading real estate developers and city builders, are joining forces to introduce the Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center. The cutting-edge Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center will deepen the Cavaliers’ Championship-caliber culture by offering Cavaliers players and prospective players the most state-of-the-art training resources of any facility in the world. In addition to serving as the new home of the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Peak Performance Center will also be open to the public, serving as a vital community asset for all. Designed by Populous, a global architectural design firm, specializing in creating world-class elite athlete training environments, the proposed development would anchor Bedrock's Cuyahoga Riverfront Master Plan. The center would invite elite and everyday athletes from all corners of the globe to downtown Cleveland and further solidify the city's position as a global sports science and wellness destination. The Center plans to offer personalized expertise in training, treatment, nutrition, and recovery from Cleveland Clinic's professional medical specialists.

Situated on the Cuyahoga River in downtown Cleveland and slated to be one of the world's largest training facilities focused on enhancing the athlete's overall performance, the more than 210,000 square feet facility will serve as the new home and practice facility of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Adjacent to the Gateway Sports Complex and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center will bring renewed energy and beauty to downtown Cleveland and join the FieldHouse as a vital part of the city’s goal of being an 18-hour, 15-minute neighborhood to live, work, play and stay.
The Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center would be the first vertical development of Bedrock's pioneering Cuyahoga Riverfront Master Plan, a $3.5 billion vision for the city of Cleveland that will advance 35 acres of the riverfront, prioritizing accessibility and sustainability. The Master Plan will additionally bring 2,000 residential units, 850,000 square feet of office space, new parking, 12+ acres of public space and opportunities for future hospitality, retail and entertainment venues to the riverfront.

When completed, the Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center would establish the Cavaliers as one of the world's most forward-thinking and innovative professional sports franchises. The center would bring together a unique hub of resources to help the team retain and attract the league's top talent, extend the lifespan of players' careers and help athletes become their best selves.

The Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center will offer comprehensive care patients, including athletes of all sports and levels, with access to state-of-the-art testing and training equipment and world-class experts from a variety of specialties including, orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, cardiology, pulmonology, exercise physiology, neurology, nutrition, psychology and genetics.
Using vast data repositories acquired through key partnerships and Cleveland Clinic's global footprint, the center will leverage innovative artificial intelligence techniques to gain novel insights about human performance to maximize every athlete's potential and give them a physical and mental competitive edge. The center will also translate these unique performance insights to populations beyond athletes, including patients, first responders and the military.
