Thanks for the interest in having the Cavaliers Dance Team appear at your event! Please read info below then complete and submit the Appearance Request Form that proceeds. A standard Meet/Greet Appearance may include meeting and greeting, signing autographs, and taking photos. Please voice any ideas that you have for the team members’ participation in your event and we’ll try as best as we can to tailor their involvement.

AUDITIONS

Audition to be a part of the Cavaliers Dance Team! We are looking for EMPOWERED, SOPHISTICATED, ATHLETIC, PASSIONATE AND TEAM DRIVEN performers to represent the Cleveland Cavaliers.

2025-2026 AUDITIONS

DATES & TIMES Day 1- June 29th Registration: 10:00am-11:00am Audition: 11:00am-5:00pm Location: Rocket Arena (Enter through Cliffs Entrance) Day 2- June 30th (INVITE ONLY) Check In: 4:30pm Audition: 5:00pm-10:00pm Location: Rocket Arena (Enter through Cliffs Entrance) Day 3 & 4- July 1st and July 2nd (INVITE ONLY) Mock Practice & Interviews: TBA Location: TBA

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AUDITIONS All candidates must be 18 years of age or older by August 1st, 2025. Candidates must be willing to devote a large percentage of time to the Cavaliers Dance Team program, including team practices twice a week, all Cavs home games, community/charitable events and special projects in the Cleveland area.

AUDITION ITINERARY-WHAT TO EXPECT There will be four sections of choreography/technique taught at auditions: Across the floor segment (this portion will be done in heels) Technique Jazz Choreography Hip-Hop Choreography There will be a freestyle/solo portion of this audition. Music will be provided for roughly 6-8 (8) counts. There will be an interview portion of this audition. NO SPECTATORS WILL BE PERMITEED TO STAY DURING AUDITION.

AUDITION ATTIRE Please wear form fitting 2-piece dance attire (crop top and shorts required, no pants). This outfit can be worn during day 1 and day 2 Skin-tone tights (Optional) Non-marking athletic/dance shoes and non-marking heels No requirements for hair styling (choose what makes you feel comfortable and confident; however, please no hats or bandanas) Performance makeup Tattoos do not have to be covered, but you can if you choose. Bring a Water Bottle

Location: Rocket Arena (enter through the Cliffs entrance on East 6th Street) Doors Open: 5:30pm- workshop will begin promptly at 6:00pm. Doors Close: 6:15pm *No spectators will be permitted inside the arena.

Workshop Details:

Who can audition? Any individual can audition for this team that is 18 years of age or older by August 1st, 2026 Are there height and/or weight requirements? No Are there technical dance requirements? (i.e must tumble or have certain turns or jumps). Must have intermediate level skills such as double turn, battement, grand jete, leap in second, and calypso. How quickly will rehearsals begin and what days of the week are they? Practices will begin roughly 4 weeks after auditions and occur twice a week. How many times does the Cavalier Dance Team perform per season? The team will perform a timeout routine at roughly 20 games per season but still has a presence at each home game. Non-performance game days include participating in meet and greets with fans on concourse, t-shirt tosses, and other game day interactive elements. Is pre-registration required? No, but highly encouraged Will there be prep classes? Yes
