Wellbeing Officers: Supporting employees in the workplace
In our APAC region Wellbeing Officers have been taking an active role since 2023 to support conversations around mental health. The role of a Wellbeing Officer is to be a point of contact for any employee who is experiencing a mental health challenge or emotional distress. The interaction could range from having an initial conversation with someone through to supporting the person to get appropriate help if necessary.
“I was one of the founding members for the mental health and wellbeing committee and one of the first orders of business was the development of a Wellbeing Officer programme. We need everyone to understand what’s available to them. These services are there, not just for times of stress but to actively support your day-to-day mental health.”
