We are pleased to present the Bankers Symposium in Minneapolis, Minnesota! Join industry colleagues at this full-day event where experts will deliver updates on the economy, Fannie Mae, HUD, Property Insurance, PACE Lending, and more. We'll also be hosting a post-symposium Happy Hour and the opportunity to take in a Twins game at Target Field. Breakfast, lunch, and all-day refreshments will be provided.
The event will be held in the 7th Floor Reserve in the the Wells Fargo Center in Minneapolis. Upon entering the Wells Fargo Center, proceed to elevator bank A-C located near the 6th and Marquette entrance. Your name will be verified on the RSVP list, and you will be permitted on the elevator to the 7th Floor Reserve.

Doug Duncan
Mike Bisanz
Senior Vice President | Chief Operating Officer – HUD/FHA | Colliers Mortgage
Mike Bisanz serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Colliers Mortgage’s FHA lending platform. In this role, Mike is responsible for all operational aspects of the firm’s FHA lending business. Prior to holding this role, Mike served as the Head of FHA Underwriting.
Mike has over 13 years of commercial and mortgage banking experience in Production, Underwriting, Processing, and Asset Management. Prior to joining Dougherty Mortgage (now Colliers Mortgage) in November 2010, Mike worked as an Asset Manager for a family-owned development and management firm where he was responsible for the company’s portfolio of apartments, condominiums, and townhomes.
John Brennan
Senior Vice President | Colliers Mortgage
Mr. Brennan is a Senior Vice President at Colliers Mortgage. He leads the Screening team and is responsible for reviewing and structuring all loan requests for Agency debt. This involves overseeing a team of managers and analysts who quote and submit dozens of loan applications per month. Additionally, Mr. Brennan serves as the primary point of contact with Fannie Mae on all transactions, interfacing daily with Credit and Business directors. He also leads a team tasked with developing a proprietary debt fund execution with a Colliers sister company – Rockwood Capital. Prior to joining Colliers Mortgage, Mr. Brennan managed lender accounts and served in numerous credit rolls at Fannie Mae. This extensive background and aptitude continue to benefit Mr. Brennan in his current role, as well as the company as a whole.
Doug Duncan
Senior Vice President and Chief Economist | Fannie Mae
Douglas G. Duncan is Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at Fannie Mae where he is responsible for forecasts and analyses of the economy and the housing and mortgage markets. Duncan also oversees strategic research regarding the potential impact of external factors on the housing industry.
Under his leadership, Fannie Mae’s Economic & Strategic Research Group (ESR) earned the 2022 Lawrence R. Klein Award for Blue Chip Forecast Accuracy recognizing their industry-leading work over a four- year period. In both 2015 and 2016, Duncan and the ESR Group won the NABE Outlook Award, presented annually for the most accurate GDP and Treasury note yield forecasts, becoming the first recipient in the award's history to capture the honor two years in a row.
Named one of Bloomberg/BusinessWeek's 50 Most Powerful People in Real Estate and Inman News’ 100 Most Influential People in Real Estate, Duncan is Fannie Mae's source for information and analyses on demographics and the external business and economic environment; the implications of changes in economic activity on the company's strategy and execution; and for forecasting overall housing, economic, and mortgage market activity.
Rafi Golberstein
CEO | PACE Loan Group
Rafi is a commercial real estate finance veteran with nearly 20 years of experience in CRE structured finance, loan origination and equity investments. Rafi currently serves as the CEO of PACE Loan Group (PLG), a direct real estate lender specializing in Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financings. Prior to founding PLG, Rafi spent his career on Wall Street where he was a Managing Director at Ladder Capital, a publicly traded REIT. Prior to Ladder, Rafi worked at Gramercy Capital conducting asset management and loan workouts. Rafi began his career at Credit Suisse in its large loan commercial real estate group. Throughout his career, Rafi has originated and closed over $3 billion of commercial real estate loans and equity investments throughout the country. Rafi also serves as a founding principal of Midloch Investment Partners, a CRE fund focused on value-add real estate investments. Midloch is currently actively raising and deploying Midloch Value Fund III. Rafi resides in Minneapolis with his wife and two daughters. Rafi has a BS from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York.
Tony Moch
Shareholder | Winthrop & Weinstine
Anton (Tony) Moch is a Shareholder with the law firm of Winthrop & Weinstine and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of community banking. Tony represents community and mid-size banks, working with them as a partner to find creative, practical solutions, and has advises clients on any legal issue a community bank may encounter, from bank-specific issues such a s governance and regulatory issues, to day-to-day operations.
Tony has been involved in the chartering and formation of numerous state and federal banks. In 2022 he was lead counsel in the chartering of EntreBank, a Minnesota state bank and the first new de novo bank in the FDIC’s Kansas City region in 14 years.
Tony routinely works with and advises banking institutions and bank ownership on bank mergers and acquisitions, branch assumptions, corporate restructuring, bank expansion strategies, branching issues and the sale of banking organizations to third parties. Additionally, he routinely advises his clients on bank holding company and bank subsidiary issues, bank management issues, permissible banking growth strategies and activities, stock redemptions, shareholder agreements and ownership transfers.
Brad Pineault
Vice President, Capital Market Strategy | Fidelity Investments
Bradford Pineault is a vice president at Fidelity Institutional® (FI), the Fidelity Investments business that offers financial professionals and institutions access to the investment, technology, and platform solutions they need to service their clients and grow their businesses. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing, and other financial products and services to institutions, financial intermediaries, and individuals.
In this role, Mr. Pineault is responsible for formulating and communicating Fidelity's capital market view to FI's clients in the intermediary channel.
Mike Powers
Regional Vice President, North Central Region | Travelers
Mike started his career in 1986 as a Risk Control Engineer at IRI, which at the time shared the HPR space with FM Global. He spent five years in engineering, and then five years in production and underwriting with IRI.
In 1996 he went to work in the Foreign Insurance Unit of AIG (AIU/Worldsource) as the lead marketer and property underwriter.
In 2001 he went to Travelers. At Travelers he spent six years as an Account Executive, followed by six years as a Managing Director. In the MD role he managed the underwriting operations for the Chicago branch, which included Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. In 2013 he began the position he holds today, overseeing all large property operations in eleven Midwestern states. The territory has grown from $135M to over $500M during his tenure as RVP.
Steig Seaward
Senior National Director, Research | Colliers
Steig Seaward is the Senior National Director of Research, leading a dynamic team of over 125 researchers across nearly 80 U.S. markets. Steig is a seasoned Commercial Real Estate and CRE technology sector leader with a distinguished career spanning over three decades.
His expertise encompasses a wide array of disciplines, including research and analysis, product design, and customer retention strategies within the information technology and commercial real estate industries. Steig's comprehensive knowledge and innovative approach have consistently propelled him to the forefront of his field.
Prior to his tenure at Colliers, Steig held key roles at prominent organizations, including serving as the Senior Research Director for the east coast region of Grubb & Ellis and as the EVP of Customer Success at Xceligent, a leading SAAS-based commercial real estate information provider. His multifaceted career also includes significant positions such as National Director of Business Development and Client Services at Xceligent, Director of Sales at IdealSpot, and VP of Technology & Member Services at the Denver Metropolitan Commercial Association of Realtors.
Steig's journey in the industry began as a research analyst for the Resolution Trust Corporation, where he honed his analytical skills and laid the foundation for his illustrious career. Today, he continues to drive innovation and excellence in research and technology, shaping the future of commercial real estate.
