A Message from Avi
In October 2023, we celebrated our 35th anniversary. Although we formalized our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative over the past few years, I can proudly say we have practiced it since our founding. At Contec, we understand the importance of integrating the wellbeing of our associates and community, and our impact on the environment, into our business operations. We believe that businesses have a responsibility to positively contribute to the communities in which they operate and to minimize their environmental impact.
We continue to employ sustainable practices in our operations, through energy-efficient technologies, reducing waste generation, and promoting recycling initiatives.
AVI LAWRENCE
President, Contec, Inc.
From solar panels to sustainable packaging, our Company is continuously improving the way we operate. Through our proven expertise and side-by-side support, we build confidence into every relationship. Because at Contec—that’s who we are.
We believe our culture is something to be proud of—we are committed to our work, but we are invested in each other, all united by the same core values. Empowering our talented and diverse associates is at the heart of what we do.
Community counts. As our company grows, so does our responsibility to do the right thing—for our customers, for each other, and for all the communities we call home.
Our People
Our Community
In 2022, we have put 896 hours back into our communities.
Our innovative new Isopropyl Alcohol Recycling program enables the reclamation of IPA (isopropyl alcohol) from Contec’s widely-used PROSAT® wipe products.
PROSAT wipes are presaturated with USP-grade IPA and DI water, allowing for controlled application to surfaces. In the IPA recycling process, the PROSAT wipe products are safely centrifuged, removing the IPA from the overrun microfiber wipes.
The collected IPA is considered a viable product, which can be used in secondary markets, thus reducing our waste and contributing to economies around the world.
After a successful pilot program in 2023, the newly implemented, scaled version estimates more than 47,000 lbs of IPA, 26,000 lbs of water, and 29,000 lbs of fabric can all be diverted from waste streams on an annual basis. 93% of the fabric can be recycled, while the remaining 7% can go from waste to energy. This process eliminates the company’s largest waste stream, which accounts for more than 80% of Contec’s hazardous waste.
As we move out of the testing phase and into full implementation, we are excited to share the success of this program with our associates, our customers, and our valued partners.

Our People
Our culture is something to be proud of.
Associate Appreciation Week
Celebrating our associates around the globe.
In October, we hosted our inaugural Associate Appreciation Week — a week-long celebration designed to thank our associates and their families for their dedication to Contec and the sacrifices they make to be present and invested in our work.
We spent the week recognizing and celebrating the talented teams and individuals behind our success. From associate spotlights to gifts handed out by the executive team, it was a fun-filled few days, and we even found time for rollercoasters and rides.
As part of AAW, we held our newly revamped ‘Whatever It Takes’ awards ceremony. These awards are given annually to associates who directly and significantly impact the organization by advancing the goals and objectives of the company through the embodiment of our core values and commitments.

Early Childhood Development
Investing in our children, our workforce, and our entire ecnomy.
Jack, our founder and CEO, has played a key role with ReadyNation, a group of like-minded business executives committed to building a skilled workforce by promoting solutions that prepare children to succeed in education, work, and life.
Dedicated to bringing their efforts to the attention of those with the greatest influence, the group gathered at Small Impressions Child Development Center in late 2023, asking state policymakers to address the growing annual cost of child care, which many say is now becoming a crisis.
Jack and the rest of our senior leaders set a clear example that change needs action and that Contec as an organization cares deeply about decisions that impact our children.
“Supporting families with childcare and early learning is important for the workforce today and is helping to build the workforce of tomorrow.”
