LEACHING

In waterlogged soils, nitrate can be converted into nitrous oxide – a greenhouse gas. Instinct nitrogen stabiliser reduces denitrification by 44%.

Volatilisation is a process that converts usable nitrogen into ammonia gas, which escapes into the environment instead of getting into the root zone. Heat speeds up the conversion.
