Disease Management
Fontelis® fungicide features a FRAC Group 7 active ingredient that gives you the flexibility to use the full rate and rotate or tank-mix with other modes of action (MOA). This can be especially important in years when more than one application is needed to limit pressure to any one MOA. Fontelis fungicide should be applied preventively at full bloom, petal fall or about five weeks post-petal fall.

Untreated tree nuts can be susceptible to problems that can impact their growth, yield, and quality. Two of the most troublesome diseases in tree nuts are brown rot blossom blight and Botrytis (jacket) rot. Brown rot affects blossoms, branches, and shoots, causing them to wilt and develop cankers. Jacket rot creates brown spots on petals that can lead to secondary infections and rotting fruit.
Disease management in tree nuts, such as almonds, pistachios, and walnuts, is essential for maintaining crop health and maximizing yield potential. Fungicides are often used as part of an integrated disease management program. Application timing, proper coverage, and rotation of active ingredients are important considerations to minimize the risk of resistance development.
