Pontiac School District is more stable financially today than it was a decade ago and enrollment declines have leveled off.

“This is my purpose; teaching - educating the next group of medical professionals,” said Anne Munn, instructor and director of the patient care technician program.

“I like that (the program) gives you more chances to do something new,” said Aliya Lor, 17. “I feel like it kind of gives me a head start on what I want to do in life because I know I want to be in medical … so I joined the PCT program to see what I liked and what I didn't like.”

Ken’Yhe Bledsoe, 17, said she was drawn to the class and felt she was following in the footsteps of her mother who works in the medical field.
Randolph Evans, 16, said he likes the class because he feels he gets more one-on-one attention.
