Why I became a Financial Planner?
I realised that a lot of the knowledge and experience I had accumulated was useful and valuable to many people. I also found that people were happy to pay for it too. It seemed a good idea to bring them together.
Specialist areas of advice I find rewarding.
I build long-term relationships by providing sound, honest and sensible financial planning advice dedicated to supporting my clients, not selling products. It’s incredibly rewarding to help someone achieve what they have set their hearts on and then see them enjoy it.
What is important to me when delivering advice?
To involve the client in what we are doing and relate back to them how our recommendations will help them get to the great place that they are aiming for.
My Favourite Book.
No favourite book, but am currently reading The Good Ancestor by Roman Krznaric, which is thought provoking.
What matters to you most in three words?
Happiness, Freedom, Wisdom.
What I enjoy most about my role.
After a client meeting when you are told how useful and enjoyable it was. For a client to put their trust in you to look after their finances through thick and thin, and hopefully for decades; what a privilege it is.
