What our clients say
Crowe UK has been auditing the expenses for specific donor related grants for the past three years and we have seen growth in the way of dealing and working with our organisation. Their online tooling for uploading required documentation and information is useful and gives a clear overview of outstanding requests.
As the audits are done online, short daily catch-up calls were helpful for additional information and fast responses in case of unclear queries. Crowe is knowledgeable with regards to the donor’s regulations.
We recommend Crowe UK for these types of audits.
Crowe has been our auditor for our two major grants since 2019 following an open call for tender. We really appreciate their valuable knowledge and experience of non-profit organisations and various funding projects.
They have been extremely professional and efficient and offer high quality services. Their approach has been very structured and the process and emerging issues have always been effectively communicated. We highly recommend Crowe to any organisation who might need professional audit services.
Crowe has provided grant audit services to us for several years now, I’ve been impressed with their approach to grant audits and their understanding of our organisation. I have no hesitation in recommending their services. The team routinely demonstrate their expertise and responds to our enquiries in a timely manner. Their pre-audit preparation work is highly valued, and their helpful insights on grant conditions, in relation to procurement and time tracking are appreciated.
Furthermore, they’re available to discuss and advise on complex grant audit requirements that help us manage risk.
When Crowe came on board in the spring of 2021, we were in crisis even given our comparatively modest portfolio of three USAID awards. We had made compliance errors and our then auditors had made more of the same, leaving us facing a $900,000 refund bill to USAID for questioned costs that should never have been questioned.
Once Crowe took over, it all became immediately calm. They know what they are doing, they are up-to-date with their knowledge of USAID regulations, and they have taken the time to fully understand our unique and, admittedly, complex systems and processes around payroll. It has been like a long but much needed breath of fresh air. If we hadn’t brought in Crowe when we did, we would have ended up in a dispute with USAID by now.
