Jonathan O'Brien is the Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield's Brisbane and Gold Coast offices. He leads a diligent team of professionals, who work closely with clients to develop solutions that make real estate a meaningful contributor to organisational productivity and performance. With over 26 years working in the property industry, Jonathan has been involved in some of Queensland’s most significant commercial sales and leasing transactions, including what is still considered to be one of the largest commercial leasing deals in Brisbane’s history – the leasing of 12,500sqm on Edward Street to Mincom Pty Ltd. Jonathan works throughout the Queensland regional and Gold Coast markets, providing strategic advice to provide tailored property investment solutions to local, institutional and overseas investors.

Luke has recently been promoted to Managing Director, Victoria and Western Australia, following his position as Head of Capital Markets - Victoria since his appointment in 2019. Luke has 17 years property experience having previously been with CBRE for over four years, as Director of Capital Markets – Institutional Investments where he successfully marketed and transacted more than $2.5 billion worth of commercial property. Luke spent nine years at Colonial First State GAM as Senior Manager of Direct Property Transactions and Regional Portfolio Manager (CPA) where he successfully transacted circa $3 billion in commercial, industrial and retail sales, and managed a $2.5 billion portfolio of A Grade Office assets. Luke’s strengths include; strategic transaction management, deep understanding of buyers and their mandates, and knowledge of funding markets. His well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills mitigating transaction risks and provides significant benefit to both buyers and sellers. Nine years on the client side has enabled him to develop strong working relationships with Institutional Investors, Superannuation Funds, Investment Banks & Lenders, Wealthy Private Investors, Developers, Agents and Tenants. Luke is committed to high levels of performance and strives to consistently exceed client and stakeholder expectations.
