LIFT Virginia
Committed founding partners and community leaders created the LIFT Center, which provides access to physical, oral and financial
care to students of Fallon Park Elementary School and
their families.

Delta Dental of Virginia established the first integrated oral health curriculum at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. The curriculum includes lectures and clinical training. The program also established an annual oral health lectureship to highlight the important link between oral health and overall health.

The Foundation awards grants to 501(c)(3) organizations working to advance oral health in Virginia. Grants range from $75,000-$100,000 and are awarded in the fall. To date, the Foundation, has donated more than $6 million to help improve oral health.

The Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation Smart Smiles® program is a free, online oral health curriculum for grades K-5. Designed with area teachers, this program is a customizable resource that you can use to engage students in the classroom, or virtually, as needed.

Rethink Your Drink
The Foundation offers a limited number of water bottle filling stations to Virginia schools across the Commonwealth each year to encourage students to drink more water and cut back on sugary drinks.
The George A. Levicki, D.D.S. Endowed Scholarship was created at the VCU School of Dentistry in honor of former CEO and founder, George Levicki. The scholarship recognizes qualities in a dental student that Levicki brought to Delta Dental of Virginia.

The Dental Health Summer Institute is a free virtual course provided by the Old Dominion University Gene W. Hirschfeld School of Dental Hygiene and the Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation for high school students interested in learning more about dental health professions.

who experience unexpected hospital stays.
Collected 30 bags of trash for Clean Valley Day.
More than 100 team members pledged to reduce waste.
Rescue Mission of Roanoke, Roanoke
Rescue Mission of Roanoke’s Fralin Free Clinic will hire a
full-time dental hygienist to provide critical oral care for homeless shelter guests. The hygienist will also help recruit volunteer dentists and expand patient access to care.

Arlington Free Clinic plans to increase the number of dental appointments and support dentist engagement. The clinic will also develop programs to increase financial assistance for patients while providing low-cost care.

Bradley Free Clinic will host two dental students and one dental hygiene student three days a week as part of its ongoing relationship with the VCU School of Dentistry.

Charlottesville Free Clinic will hire a full-time office manager to reduce the dental appointment wait list. An office manager allows the dentist to increase productivity and focus on providing oral health services.

Chesapeake Care will hire a dentist and dental assistants to work one additional day per week. Grant funds will allow the clinic to purchase equipment and supplies, as well as increase capacity.

Child Health Investment Partnership (CHIP) is launching its “Integration Through Innovation 2023” program to provide oral health education and dental/medical case management to bilingual families.

CrossOver Ministry is increasing its capacity to provide oral health care to high-risk patients, including OB patients and individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and upgrading equipment to provide patient care.

The Moss Free Clinic will hire a part-time dental hygienist and increase the available hours of their current part-time dentist to improve access to oral health care.

GoochlandCares is hiring an additional part-time dental hygienist to increase dental services so that patients have
more access to routine dental appointments.

Park Place Health and Dental Clinic will use grant funds to host three dental students in collaboration with the VCU School of Dentistry. The dental students will provide care inside the clinic three days a week.

Piedmont Regional Dental Clinic will hire a community health worker focused on reducing barriers to treatment and providing oral health education. The clinic will collaborate with schools, free clinics, child care centers and shelters.
