THE LANDSCAPE
Asti DOCG boasts close to 9,900 hectares of majestic vineyards across the three areas of this region, now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Langhe, with its steep hills, is characterised by its limestone marl and sandstone soils. Monferrato and Roero are shaped by more gentle hills, with clay marl and sandy soils.
Situated between the Ligurian coast and the Alps, the region sees bracing winters followed by hot summers, and Asti DOCG’s aromatic Moscato Bianco grapes flourish under these ideal conditions.
