The diversity of our wines reflects the diversity of
our landscapes.
Victoria's winemakers are experts at matching grape variety to vineyard site, and with great care, shaping those grapes into beautifully elegant and complex wines. Victoria is h0me to more than 800 wineries, producing wines including medium-bodied and lighter reds, wines with finesse, cool climate styles, pinot noir, chardonnay, shiraz, world-renowned fortified wines, and a host of newly planted, emerging varieties.
The global culinary capital of Melbourne sits at the heart of the state and many wineries are just a day trip from this vibrant city. Food and wine are central to Victorian culture, and agriculture is one of the leading sectors of the economy.
Victoria is in the far south-east corner of Australia. It is the smallest state, yet one of the most biodiverse in the country.
Its coastlines are battered by waves straight from the Antarctic and its borders contain the mountains of the ancient Great Dividing Range. It's thanks to these captivating surroundings that Victoria produces some of Australia's most intriguing, irreverent, and rewarding wines.
