Through this collection of stories, we hope to answer those common questions and more. Lili Reinhart covers our Next Gen Issue which may seem an interesting choice since her career has all the trappings of a Hollywood veteran, but makes sense when you realize she’s not even 30! Though she’s been working since she was 12, Reinhart only rose to fame in 2017 thanks to a seven year run on Riverdale. I had the pleasure of meeting Reinhart back then, taking her to New York Fashion Week for the first time and later covering her getting ready process for her first Met Gala experience. Since then, as she discusses with writer Tyler McCall, Reinhart has spent time figuring out how to do Hollywood her way. She “isn’t interested in playing the part of Capital-C celebrity,” McCall writes. No, instead, though she’s been hard at work on three movies (I’m sure you’ve seen the TikToks from the set of The Love Hypothesis) and ramping up press for her new Mubi show Hal & Harper which began airing in October, Reinhart is charting a course all her own. “This industry is going to have its way with you if you let it,” Reinhart tells McCall. “And I very much try to be like, ‘No, I'm going to be over here enjoying my life and not letting you control my happiness.’” An attitude we could all stand to adopt, don’t you think?
