IN PARTNERSHIP WITH WINE VISION BY OPEN BALKAN
In recent years, the Western Balkans has emerged as one of the most exciting wine regions in the world. Albania, North Macedonia and Serbia offer unique grape varieties, an extraordinary diversity of terroirs and a vibrant scene powered by the passion of authentic winemakers.
The Balkans are carving out a place on the global wine map, with their wines increasingly featured on wine lists and in wine shops around the world. Meanwhile, curious travelers flock to the Balkan wine regions, typically nestled within stunning natural landscapes.
The regional wine scene is crowned by the Wine Vision by Open Balkan fair, which is, after just three years, one of Europe’s largest wine events. For 2025, the fair will take place on 22-25 November in Belgrade, where visitors can look forward to guided food and spirits tastings, expert masterclasses and the best Balkan wine has to offer.

The sheer scale of the fair is impressive, offering an incredible diversity of experiences. In just an hour, you could meet a Bordeaux château owner and a winemaker from a small, traditional winery in Župa – or engage them both in a lively discussion

Visitors get excited about indigenous grape varieties, sparking discussions about whether Prokupac resembles Nebbiolo, if Vranac could be the next Amarone, and whether Kadarka can rival Pinot Noir
