Tuscan inspiration
Introduced by Mario Piccini, the Collezione Privata range takes its inspiration from the Florentine Renaissance and the culinary delights of that era, which combined local and exotic ingredients in pursuit of pleasure and flavour.
Piccini, from its base in the Chianti hills, has interpreted this legacy in the Collezione Privata wines by combining native Italian grape varieties with international ones. Bottled under the Toscana IGT designation, each wine carries Mario Piccini's signature as a personal guarantee of quality.

Medal-winning wines
Awarded 95 points and a Gold medal after two weeks of rigorous DWWA judging, the Collezione Privata Rosato 2025 was commended as particularly good value in its class. The DWWA is the world's largest wine competition, and in 2026 more than 17,000 wines from 58 countries were judged blind.
Fewer than 6% of wines entered were awarded Gold medals, which puts Collezione Privata Rosato’s 95 points in perspective. The judges highlighted its ‘juicy plum, lychee and pink grapefruit aromas,’ the ‘plush, sapid texture, offset by lime peel acidity and cleansing length’ and described the wine as ‘brimming with charm and delight.’
A blend that combines the elegance of Merlot and the vitality of Sangiovese, Collezione Privata Rosato 2025 was created to embody freshness and drinkability. You can serve it well-chilled as an aperitif, but this versatile rosé is equally at home with grilled fish, a summer salad or a bowl of light tomato pasta.
The Collezione Privata Rosso 2023 also draws on Merlot and Sangiovese, while adding the spice of Syrah and the concentration of Cabernet Sauvignon to produce a wine that judges described as ‘approachable and jammy with ripe raspberry and cherry, hint of vanilla and soft tannins.’ It pairs well with slow-cooked meat stews as well as richer game dishes.
The refreshing Collezione Privata Bianco 2025 brings together local white variety Trebbiano Toscano with lemony Vermentino and the texture and richness of Chardonnay. It was praised for its flavours of ‘cut grass and green pepper alongside apple and lemon, finishing long and creamy.’ Match it with vegetable dishes or with light starters to enjoy its freshness.
