With the unplugged performance of a Dell XPS 13 powered by the Snapdragon® X Elite processor, digital artist Victoria Fard has the portable power to create virtual wonderlands.
Victoria Fard is a lifelong artistic soul: the sort of person who uses art as
a language to express emotion and connect with others. As a modern digital artist, she needs technology to support her creative work, and at the heart of that technology is Snapdragon.
Drawing from a background in architecture, Fard moved into the virtual world of immersive art. This art form typically involves huge rooms filled with borderless LED displays that depict animated worlds created by the artist, totally immersing the viewer in the creative experience. It’s an art form growing in popularity, with displays seen at breakout art venues such as ‘Frameless’ and ‘The Outernet’ in London, England (the latter of which
is soon to host Fard’s own immersive work).
As you might expect, powering such in-depth creations requires, well, power. This isn’t an art form that can be crafted with a simple pen or brush - though as a multidisciplinary artist, Fard is well-versed in those too - but rather calls for the modern artist’s tool of choice: the computer. In Fard’s case, that’s a laptop packing the awesome power of Snapdragon X
Elite processor.
Snapdragon X Series processors aren’t the laptop processors of yesterday, where being shackled to a power outlet was mandatory to get the most out of your device. Instead, they deliver top-notch performance whether you’re plugged into a charger or not; that’s the game-changer that artists like Fard rely on.
If you’re an artist, you can probably relate: Fard finds inspiration in long walks, exploration, and spending time immersed in her own Filipino culture through her family. She builds her art thoughtfully, piece by piece, growing these individual fragments from memories and experiences to form what she describes as “a mosaic in my mind”.

Leave the charger, keep the performance
When you’re on the move a lot and inspiration strikes, you can’t always afford to wait until you’re back home at your computer. Fard feels that every part of her work is imbued with aspects of where she was when she first conceived it, what she felt at the time, and what she was seeking to explore in that moment. With the powerful performance and all-day battery life that comes with a laptop powered by Snapdragon , you’re always able to leap straight into the creative process.
Fard depends on this reliable, effective technology to craft her immersive digital worlds. Working with the sort of large, multi-gigabyte 3D scenes she builds in Maxon’s Cinema 4D software demands hardware that can keep up, which can be hard to come by in a thin-and-light laptop chassis. Snapdragon processors make this dream a reality; Fard notes that she’s very grateful for how capable Snapdragon’s technology is, allowing her to do her best work wherever she is.
Building magic
Fard’s Filipino heritage is an integral part of her creative process. She grew up in a very caring, colorful culture that celebrated storytelling and craftsmanship, and feels that her work has been an extension of that culture. Starting out with painting in oils and acrylics, she later moved into the digital world, learning to use programs to create art; a moment she says “really opened my eyes to see what’s possible” in the world of
modern art.

The immersive art she creates is breathtaking. It invites the audience into vividly colorful, expressive environments, from glades of baby-pink trees towered over by gargantuan deer to coral formations through which whales glide. It’s a very tangible, kinesthetic experience, surrounding you and welcoming you into a space that feels benign and surreal, and Fard clearly takes joy in seeing people take it all in - “the best part is seeing their eyes glow!” she laughs.
These sorts of high-concept art pieces are no mean feat to create, and a degree of experimentation is clearly required to make them work. With a blazing-fast Dell XPS 13 powered by the Snapdragon X Elite processor, Fard values the ability to design and test her work in real-time, wherever she is. For artists like her, creating art is as natural as breathing - and having
a laptop that lets them create that art anyway is vital in today’s world.
