or 2026, Scotty Cameron has launched its Phantom range of putters, with the line-up getting bigger and better via the introduction of new head shapes and a full-face insert - ensuring options for every putting stroke.
In total, five Phantom headshapes are now available, ranging from the compact shaping of the Phantom 3.2 and 5, all the way to the larger, more forgiving Phantom 12.
Having been put in play by Major champions like Justin Thomas, as well as PGA Tour winners Cameron Young, Ludvig Aberg, Jackson Koivun and Ryan Gerard, the big stories surround the work Scotty Cameron and his team of engineers have put in to deliver a softer feel, excellent distance control and ample head, neck and alignment alternatives.

Scotty Cameron has introduced a new full-face Studio Carbon Steel insert with a chain-link milling pattern to the 2026 Phantom range. The key purpose of the full-face Studio Carbon Steel insert and chain-link milling pattern is to create a softer feel with responsive feedback and, consequently, provide sharper distance control.

How The 2026 Scotty Cameron Phantom Range Of Putters
Scotty Cameron generates the ‘flow’ of the stroke by how and where the neck, or shaft, of the putter joins the head. The neck design and position will affect performance, which is why Scotty Cameron has provided four different toe flow options throughout the range.
The amount of face rotation players will want to feel determines the neck style used, and these models are precisely engineered, tuned and crafted to fit a player’s stroke and promote intuitive face control.
These range from the ‘near zero toe flow’ of the low-torque Onset Center (OC) models, all the way to the ‘near maximum toe flow’ of the .5 Jet Neck.
DIVERSE HEAD, NECK AND ALIGNMENT OPTIONS TO MATCH ANY PUTTING STROKE
Phantom 3.2
Beginning with the Phantom 3.2, which was put in play by Ludvig Aberg at the Charles Schwab Challenge at the end of May. Remaining in the bag ever since, it helped the Swede to a T17th finish at the US Open and top 10s at The Open Championship and FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Possessing a compact, T-shaped crown that has the feel of a blade and the forgiveness of a mallet, it’s designed for players who prefer to feel the path and face in the stroke, with the plumbing neck providing medium toe flow for those with a slightly arcing stroke.

The 2026 Phantom range also features redesigned sole plates and a rounded topline that were inspired by its Tour player feedback.
With the addition of the redesigned sole plates, it allows the putter to sit more flush to the ground, creating a more consistent setup from various lies and hand positions. What’s more, because of the rounded topline, it helps players improve their visual alignment and how the putter sits behind the golf ball.
Aesthetics play a big part in building confidence for golfers when they are at address, and so the 2026 Phantom introduces new and refined head shapes - each a direct response to Tour player input.
TOUR-INFLUENCED SHAPING & SETUP
Phantom 5
The Phantom 5, meanwhile, is arguably the most recognisable putter in the Phantom range, providing a modern wingback mallet construction with a compact shape, the feel of a blade and four neck options.
For the first time ever, the Phantom 5 offers a straight shaft installed directly in line with the putter’s center of gravity which is called the Phantom 5 Onset Center (OC). This results in low-torque performance that delivers ample forgiveness for those who want a square-to-the-path stroke.
Among the remaining models is the Phantom 5, a mid-single bend neck that provides minimal toe flow for players with a nearly-straight stroke. The Phantom 5.2, meanwhile, possesses a plumbing neck that Scotty Cameron himself calls the “happy medium.” It’s designed for players who have a slightly arcing stroke, with it providing medium toe flow.
Finally, there’s the Phantom 5.5, which is a jet neck and produces the maximum toe flow for players with an arcing stroke.
Phantom 7
Phantom 7 is a sharp-angled wingback mallet with a larger footprint from the front to the back than the Phantom 5. It’s designed to have a more face-balanced feel with an alternative look at address, thanks to its longer wings and rail-like alignment.
Three neck options are available on the Phantom 7, and these are the jet neck (7.5), the plumbing neck (7.2) and the double-bend (7).
Phantom 9
The Phantom 9R range has been used by Cameron Young to win The Players Championship in 2026, with the putter featuring more rounded edges and shaping to provide a softer look that is more player-preferred at address.
For those with a nearly-straight stroke, you will find the mid-single bend shaft of the Phantom 9R suits your game, while the Phantom 9.2R possesses the plumbing neck for players that have a slightly arcing stroke.
Phantom 12
Rounding out the final Phantom model is the Phantom 12, a putter designed for players who are seeking the maximum amount of stability, as well as a slightly larger profile when at address.
A mid-single bend neck for straight-back, straight-through strokes is the only option available on the Phantom 12, which has an all-new design and extreme perimeter weighting to provide the most amount of forgiveness in the 2026 Phantom range.
