I wasn’t a particularly sporty kid, but in my 20s, I found running, which changed my life forever. Movement has shaped me for the better—it’s proven, unequivocally, that I’m strong and can do hard things. I often think of 14-year-old Ally, and wish she could have felt the peace, power and pride that movement can bring. Girls are twice as likely as boys to drop out of sport—a data-backed fact that leads to fewer leadership opportunities later in life.
I’m determined to change that, hence our annual Women in Sport franchise. This year, we spent the day with Lioness, role model, and global icon Chloe Kelly—every bit as impressive in person; I’ll never forget her history-making winning goal at the 2022 Euros.
Inside: tips for encouraging your children into movement, the long-wear products athletes swear by, new data on the female running boom, and more. I hope it inspires you to move today.
