This is Notes on a Fragrance, a series that brings the most luxurious scents to life. Perfume is so much more than its smell—it’s an ornament on your dressing table, and often, the thing people remember us by. Be it timeless fragrances worn for generations or new cult scents that linger on the most stylish individuals, here, we highlight every last detail (or drop) of a perfume’s personality. So much so, you’ll practically be able to smell this scent through the screen and know exactly how it will make you feel when you wear it.
In 2025, the fragrance market feels more crowded than ever. Our collective desire to smell unique has made niche perfumes, with expensive, artisanal olfactory craftspersonship, the norm. But now, with thousands of perfume options right at our fingertips, it feels increasingly difficult to find one that ticks all of the boxes; something that smells personal, actually lasts on the skin, earns you compliments and feels truly transportative. And yet, sitting quietly and unassumingly on the shelves at Sephora is a brand that does all of the above and more. The 7 Virtues’ latest creation, Clementine Dream, is about to put this brand firmly on the UK map.

Before we dive into what makes Clementine Dream so special, it would be wrong not to give some background on The 7 Virtues as a brand. Created with wonder, balance, truth, courage, justice, wisdom and beauty in mind, the impact of the brand’s creations goes far beyond the bottle. The 7 Virtues came into existence by ethically and legally sourcing orange blossom and rose essential oil from Afghan farmers, freeing them from the pressures of growing the illegal poppy crop to get by. The brand is vegan, B.Corp-certified (a sustainability credential that is incredibly difficult to achieve, particularly for a fragrance brand) and a social enterprise in its own right. The cherry on top? Each perfume is blended with aromatherapy benefits at the forefront, and Clementine Dream is, hands down, the most deliciously uplifting, transformative, smile-inducing perfume around…
THE UNBOXING
The experience of The 7 Virtues Clementine Dream starts with the unboxing. The box (FSC-approved, of course) is an ode to the scent inside. This is, very much, a perfume that can be judged by its cover. Citrus fruits and creamy magnolia flowers decorate an exterior that looks as delicately beautiful and fresh as the fragrance itself, whilst snippets of copy reveal an overview of the notes and what effects they could have on your state of mind.
More than anything, though, the box perfectly reflects The 7 Virtues ethos—the fragrance speaks for itself, after all. A reminder that you are buying a “Peace Perfume”, along with information on the upcycled ingredients inside, graces the front of the box, and a message sharing, “This perfume funds Days for Girls in advancing period equity in North America” is printed on the side. And in case you forget the brand mission? The box's parting message as you reach to remove the bottle reads, “Make perfume not war.” The bottle you reveal is, in short, a small work of art.
THE SPRITZ
The small, square bottle, which follows the design of its The 7 Virtues predecessors, is simply labelled with a bright turquoise illustration of vibrant clementines and crisp, blooming magnolia flowers. And the illustration gracing the bottle is a perfect creative representation of the summery scent itself. Brimming with uplifting, energising orange notes, along with fresh, creamy florals and comforting, warming vanilla, an overwhelming sense of joy hits you straight in the face from the very first spray.
THE ILLUSTRATION GRACING THE BOTTLE IS A PERFECT CREATIVE REPRESENTATION OF THE SUMMERY SCENT ITSELF.

The thing that makes Clementine Dream so special is its refreshingly simple composition. It is, at its core, a summery citrus scent, drenched in the juices of orange, lemon and blackcurrant. But this isn’t just your run-of-the-mill citrus perfume—far from it. The addition of magnolia delivers an element of floral creaminess, whilst vanilla and amber add a warm human element that, when combined, makes the scent bind to the skin in a way that says it belongs to you and you only.
THE AROMAS OF A HOT, HAZY DAY LINGER IN THE AIR, AND YOU ARE TOTALLY AT PEACE—THIS IS THE FEELING OF CLEMENTINE DREAM.
Whilst some might argue that the beauty of the Clementine Dream bottle means it should reside on an open shelf for all to see, this uplifting, happy, energising and smile-inducing scent is best kept in a handbag. Why? Because you’ll want a spritz of Clementine Dream available whenever you feel your state of mind needs a boost.

To really understand the joyful aroma of Clementine Dream, you need to close your eyes and mentally transport yourself to the rocky shores of the Italian coast. You have whiled away the day on a sunlounger, soaking up the warm sunshine. As the sun starts to lose its heat and journey down towards the horizon, you throw on a white linen shirt and make the climb back up to the real world. On the way, you encounter a small, rustic bar, nestled amongst orange trees bursting with ripe fruits and velvety white flowers. After ordering a cooling cocktail, you sit down to take in the sunset. Your skin feels warm and sunsoaked against the crisp coolness of your shirt, the aromas of a hot, hazy day linger in the air and you are totally at peace. This is the feeling of Clementine Dream.
