Princess Motor Yacht Sales’ YachtQuarters shared-ownership programme delivers a big yacht owning experience for a fraction of the cost of outright ownership and for a few weeks aboard each year should work out at less than half the price of chartering a comparable yacht.
For some owning their own professionally crewed motor yacht is the ultimate dream. And what a dream. Owning your very own floating home-from-home. Cruising in some of the world’s most desirable locations. Basking in a glorious anchorage or glamming it up in the swishest marinas. And your every need catered for by your very own captain and crew.
However, if you haven’t owned your own yacht before, the process can be a little daunting. And, even for experienced yacht owners, it can be complicated.
What’s more it can also be hard to find enough time each year to fully justify the costs.
For others, chartering is the simplest alternative. Booking what’s available as and when and only paying directly for your time aboard. But chartering can also be expensive week by week and the experience will never be as personal as ownership.
YachtQuarters
How about buying an eighth of this fully crewed brand-new Princess Y72?
A professional dedicated YachtQuarters team will be managing the entire experience from beginning to end, leaving shareholders to concentrate on managing their time aboard and maximising their enjoyment.

LESS IS MORE
Princess Motor Yacht Sales’ YachtQuarters is a fantastic compromise. Not full ownership. Not charter. YachtQuarters is a fully managed share-ownership alternative to full ownership, a great lifestyle solution for first timers and for existing yacht owners alike. Shared ownership is much more likely to fit most people’s annual usage needs and, in most cases, should work out significantly cheaper than chartering. Just as importantly, consider what the upfront investment and ongoing running costs of such programmes could otherwise fund. Either you save as a shareholder by spending less on a few weeks’ use a year on a similar size vessel or, better still, it gives you a significantly larger yacht experience than would otherwise get for an equivalent spend. Or it could be the difference between running your own boat yourself and benefitting from the real luxury of a bigger boat with permanent crew.
And remember as a shareholder they are your crew. You’ll get to know them and they will get to know you.
Cost effective
Princess Motor Yacht Sales has already managed three successful yacht shares. And its next YachtQuarters opportunity is another brand-new Princess Y72, which is scheduled to deliver to her new shareholders this summer.
Only available to non-EU residents, each of eight shares costs £550,000, which covers the first 4.5 years of the vessel’s life. Then on top of that there will be an annual operating charge of £49,950, which will be fixed for the duration. The service charge covers everything from insurance, servicing, berthing and crew hiring and benefits. The only things not covered will be fuel and provisioning, which will depend on each planned cruise you take and the number of guests aboard.
She will be based in the Western Mediterranean. The first 18 months will be in Mallorca. The second will be on the Côte d’Azur and the third back in Mallorca. And the final year will be in Southern Italy.
At the end of the first 4.5 years, the yacht will be sold as quickly as possible. Previous shared yachts have sold with six months and plans are in place to make sure that happens in a controlled way. Prior to any sale being finalised, much reduced annual operating fees will be charged pro rata until the final sale amount is divided between the various shareholders.
Five weeks a year
One share includes up to eight guests and includes full warranty protection throughout those first 4.5 years. Every share buys four full weeks of fully crewed cruising and one marina-based week over the winter months of December to February when the yacht is berthed but uncrewed. The latter can be taken in either two three-day and four-day mini-breaks or in one go.
All shareholders get their share of the prime weeks. Each can choose one ‘high season’ week in either July or August, two ‘mid-season’ weeks in April-June or September-October, and one off-season week in either March or November. Shareholders are also free to buy more than one share for extra time aboard.
A professional dedicated YachtQuarters team will be managing the entire experience from beginning to end, leaving shareholders to concentrate on managing their time aboard and maximising their enjoyment. A highly experienced boat and yacht dealer with territories in the UK and across Europe and thousands of satisfied customers worldwide, Princess Motor Yacht Sales even provides a concierge service to help its YachtQuarters partners get the very best from their cruising adventures.
There’s accommodation aboard for up to eight guests across four lower-deck cabins. The biggest ensuite ‘owner’s cabin’ is amidships, where it extends across the full-beam, benefits from the biggest hull windows and, in the right anchorages, will enjoy the most fabulous views.

The best-selling Princess Y72
Princess is one of the most respected motor yacht brands in the world and the stunning Princess Y72 is one of the Plymouth, Devon-based builder’s best-selling models. This world-class flybridge motor yacht has a real presence and plenty of sociable entertainment spaces, inside and out.
Most yacht guests want to live outdoors during the day and motor yachts like the Princess Y72 define the alfresco experience. There’s the beach club bathing platform aft, your very own ‘Dock of the Bay’, and just above there’s the more discreet aft-deck welcome, which includes a booth-diner at the transom and a seamless glass-door connection with the main saloon beyond.
And up top, beyond the upper-helm position, there’s a massive hardtop-protected flybridge. The latter space is always the beating heart of any yacht during daylight hours and often later too. It provides a wet-bar for drinks and more rudimentary food preparation and cooking facilities, all sociably alongside the main alfresco booth dining and sun-lounging areas.
Plus, there’s still more seating and lounging on the bow terrace. With or without bimini shade, it’s a more out of the way spot for watching the world slide by when underway or a sanctuary when the rest of the boat is perhaps a little too busy at anchor or when moored stern-to in a busy marina.
Luxury accommodation
When you want real shade and air-conditioning, the main saloon has an aft galley to port, which serves both the aft-deck and the indoor dining area to starboard. And beyond there’s a spectacular amidships lounge, one that big picture windows down each side come with wraparound views. The main saloon is your contemporary cool refuge, whether lounging or catching the latest must-see films or binging a Netflix series. And, yes, your shared yacht will have full connectivity wherever it maybe in the Mediterranean and every cabin will have its own TV screen.
The lower helm is tucked away forward to starboard and has its own side-deck door connection, which helps the crew deliver a more discreet service by being able to circulate freely outside without disturbing guests inside.
Eight guests, four cabins
There’s accommodation aboard for up to eight guests across four lower-deck cabins. The biggest ensuite ‘owner’s cabin’ is amidships, where it extends across the full-beam, benefits from the biggest hull windows and, in the right anchorages, will enjoy the most fabulous views. Then there’s an ensuite VIP double forward and two twins between that share a third shower-room that also serves as a day-head.
The crew have their own twin-berth cabin buried in the transom, which gives them and guests a little extra privacy come bedtime.
Thanks to two big 1,400hp V12 MAN diesels, the Y72 will deliver a delightful slow-speed cruise or a real turn of speed when needed. The top speed is around 35 knots (40mph), which is fast enough to get to that perfect bay or popular restaurant in a hurry or conversely to stay a little longer where you’re having fun before heading back home.
Shared ownership really is an effortless way to enjoy luxury time afloat… Go on. Why not take the next step?
