Gate D: Smoking area opens when gates open
Gates A & E: Smoking areas are accessible 30 minutes after kickoff
Cigars and electronic cigarettes are not permitted in the
stadium and must comply with our outdoor designated
area smoking policy.
SMOKING AREAS
61 E. Elizabeth, 850 Witherell, and Lot 5 are the closest parking lots that offer tailgating.

Grilling may not be allowed in all areas. Please observe the posted signs in lots for restrictions. Tailgating is not allowed in deck parking areas.
TAILGATING PARKING AREAS
Save time by utilizing gates other than Gate A. The entrance lines in the center of Gate A are often not utilized while long lines form at the corner entrance lines.

SAVE TIME ENTERING FORD FIELD
Ford Field has implemented walkthrough metal detectors at all points of stadium ingress including fan and employee entrances. All persons entering Ford Field should remove the following items and place in the inspection bin prior to passing through the walkthrough metal detector:
SECURITY PROCEDURES
Ford Field adheres to all security protocols mandated by the NFL which have been certified and designated by the Department of Homeland Security since 2008 as effective anti-terrorism technology.
In addition to emphasizing the importance of those protocols with security personnel, we have sought and received additional support from local law enforcement agencies.
The Detroit Lions also are encouraging fans and guests attending the game to review the NFL Bag Policy before approaching the perimeter of the stadium.
