Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and crypto became buzzwords in 2021 and for the brave few media companies and brands, a playground for experimentation — if they were willing to take a risk. But what goes up must come down and the crypto bear market has left significant uncertainty around the future of NFTs and blockchain experimentation. Though several believers still see a future where all digital audiences transfer to Web3 environments.
With this package, Digiday explains WTF many of these new terms mean, as well as how media companies are applying this tech to their businesses. But beyond that, Digiday is entering the space as well for first-hand experience on how NFTs can be used to enhance events, grow audiences and add value to membership models.
