All seven IBC offices worked together for the first ever Day of Caring in October 2024, a day dedicated to giving back via donations and volunteering with: Okanagan Fruit Tree Project; SAFE Society; Our Daily Bread; Blueberry Creek Community School; the Kootenay Gallery; and more.

The VIBU team created four-year bursaries for first-year students studying accounting or finance in the communities in which we have offices: North Island College, Vancouver Island University, Camosun College, and the University of Victoria, totaling $72,000.

Edmonton’s team welcomed Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society for a special National Day for Truth and Reconciliation event, making care packages Bent Arrow's Iskew House, a group home for parenting teens and announcing a $50,000 donation.
Prairies
Regina’s Greater Purpose Committee made a $2,500 donation to the Regina Humane Society, supporting their work to provide animal welfare and protection services. Colleagues toured the facility and helped prepare tickets for fundraiser.
Northern Ontario
NOBU’s Greater Purpose Committee donated to Emergency Shelter and Regional Food Distribution Association (RFDA). Colleagues also spent an afternoon with RFDA, helping prepare meals and pack boxes on-site.
National Office
A joint initiative between our National Office and Southern Ontario colleagues, support for Great Lakes Waterfront Trail’s Farm Fresh Cycle Tours saw a dedicated purple Doane rest stop and cheer squad along the beautiful route through the Hamilton/Stoney Creek area.
Southern Ontario
SOBU colleagues closed the TSX in November 2024 with the Movember team, celebrating the charity’s fundraising campaign for men’s health. The SOBU team raised over $20,000 and in total, Doane Grant Thornton teams across the country raised over $97,000!
New Brunswick
Each month, colleagues in our New Brunswick Business Unit plan a meal, shop for groceries, and cook dinner at the Ronald McDonald Family Room at the Moncton Hospital, offering parents more time to focus on their child’s recovery journey.
Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia’s Greater Purpose Committee announced a $500,000 commitment over five years to support Integrated Youth Services, a revolutionary model of “one-stop shop” hubs for young people and their families to access mental health services.
Prince Edward Island
Camp Triumph offers free camps to children who have a chronically ill or disabled family member. In addition to a $10,000 donation, colleagues in our PEI Business Unit volunteered on-site over the summer, helping with gardens, painting, and the construction of a new mini golf course.
Newfoundland and Labrador
Continuing prior support of The Gathering Place, a community health centre supporting vulnerable individuals in their community, the St. John’s Greater Purpose Committee sponsored and served four meals with their Meals on Me program, providing breakfast and lunch to local residents.
South Coastal British Columbia
The SCBC team donated $30,000 to sponsor a litter of puppies from the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society and colleagues across the BU submitted their puppy name suggestions. In early 2025, Doane, Grant, Harvey, Goose, Shyloh, and Shelby were born!
