“The good thing about moving is I’ve learned what I liked about Ciel’s old room and what I didn’t,” notes Ryan. While her plan is to keep the baby in their bedroom until he or she is sleeping soundly through the night, Ciel and his sibling will eventually share a space. Luckily the apartment’s second bedroom is big enough for both their newborn’s and Ciel’s two-tone crib, which conveniently converts to a toddler bed. “I wanted it to be a space that they can both grow into and for no one to feel like this room was geared toward a specific gender or that it was just made for Ciel,” explains Ryan. This second go-round meant she could fix the mistakes she had made the last time.
