It also means Mom isn’t the hub of all logistics. “When they ask about details (and they ask all the time), I can say, ‘Check the board,’” she says. Seasonal plans get jotted down on a Schoolhouse wall-mounted paper holder in the other corner of the space, so in addition to not accidentally missing a music recital, Penelope and Winter don’t forget to accomplish their long-term goals (this summer that included running a race and visiting their grandparents).
