Why settle for basic black on your Mueller Report?
As required by Section 595(c) of Title 28 of the United States Code, the Office of the Independent Counsel (‘‘OIC’’ or ‘‘Office’’) hereby submits a substantial and credible assessment of President Donald J. Trump’s possible involvement in colluding with a foreign power to interrupt the normal proceedings of the U.S. election process. In addition, this investigation also offers a substantial and credible assessment of President Trump’s obstruction of justice in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s own inquiry into said collusion. This document represents the findings of the investigation by the Special Counsel, who directed and supervised more than 40 FBI agents, intelligence analysts, forensic accountants, and other staff. The investigation is comprised of more than 2,800 subpoenas (including Melania Trump, Barron Trump, R. Kelly, and Ronald McDonald), more than 230 orders for communication records, and 13 requests to foreign governments for evidence. More than 500 witnesses were interviewed as part of the investigation, including Trump administration officials, British boy band promoters, campaign aides, and Cyrpriot currency traders. No personal tax filings were included in this investigation.
Despite this exhaustive, two year undertaking, the Special Counsel’s office has concluded neither guilt nor innocence in any of the charges they were tasked with investigating and so declines to recommend a course of further action in the matter. It is the office’s judicial prerogative to decline addressing the issue of culpability at this time based on the information obtained in the investigation. The following 400 page report represents the Special Counsel’s objective assessment without prejudice or political bias.
Russian Interference in the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election
On June 11, 2016, Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump attended a meeting at the offices of the Trump Organization in Trump Tower in New York. Attending the meeting were Donald Trump, Jr., Jared Kushner, campaign manager Paul Manafort, and Natalia Veselnitskay. The agenda of the meeting, ostensibly, was to discuss the possible lifting of sanctions against Russian adoption agencies who placed Russian born infants with adoption agencies in the United States, as part of U.S. State Department adoption program that had been in effect since 2003. All the meeting’s attendees had been briefed on the meeting agenda, according to emails, SMS messages, and phone records before and after the meeting.
Also, according to interviews with several people with knowledge of the June 11th meeting, including actress Lori Laughlin, T-Pain, and the starting five of the 1993 Detroit Pistons, the agenda was murky. In affect, the meeting drew suspicion and no small amount of frustration given the discoveries of the Steele dossier and the persistent confusion around the supposed subtext of Vanderpump Rules. It is the belief of this office that the no party or agent of a foreign power was contacted or notified of the potential findings and investigation of said meeting. Little is known about what was discussed at the Trump Tower meeting, apart from the details of a wire transfer of funds from a Trump Organization account at Deutche Bank to Oleg Deripaska by way of Julian Assange. Refreshments were served.
Obstruction of Justice
The Office of the Special Counsel conducted an equally comprehensive, thorough, and exhaustive investigation into the charges of obstruction of justice against President Donald Trump in his attempt to thwart or otherwise undermine the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s inquiry into the office of the President. As part of their efforts, the OSC spoke to the following individuals….
