At any given time, Einstein Healthcare Network is training some 400 residents across 30 specialties to become caring, compassionate doctors - following a model set through 150 years of deeply held values. This is the story of one such resident as she navigates the grueling first three months of
her internal medicine training.

Dr. Eiger is Program Director of the Internal Medicine and Preliminary Medicine Residency Programs at Einstein Healthcare Network. He is the Associate Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia and Associate Professor of Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College - Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Eiger is a member of the Division of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Eiger completed his residency and chief residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and his fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians. He has been named Top Doc by Philadelphia Magazine.
Glenn Eiger, MD
Dr. Vachaparambil grew up in Albany, NY and attended Penn State University and Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University through a combined accelerated program. She is in her first year at Einstein Healthcare Network's internal medicine residency program and has not yet settled on a specialty. Dr. Vachaparembil comes from a medical family. Her younger brother is currently working his way through the same combined accelerated program, while her older sister attended Drexel University College of Medicine and is currently doing her residency at Emory University.
