Foods to Avoid
This group class gives expecting parents a chance to build relationships with each other and healthcare professionals.
New parents can take part in fun, educational sessions and receive valuable information from pediatric providers.

Soft cheeses such as feta, brie and queso fresco are made with unpasteurized milk should be avoided. Hard cheeses such as swiss and cheddar are safe to enjoy.
Avoid raw or smoked seafood, as well as fish high in mercury.
While eating lots of greens is encouraged, avoid pre-made salads, as they may not be washed thoroughly. Always pre-wash lettuce before consuming.
Eggs contain lots of high-quality protein and fat - just make sure they are fully cooked before consuming. Avoid raw or undercooked eggs as well as foods that may contain raw eggs like raw dough.
