The badge includes beacons to provide accurate floor- and room-level information, gateways to InformaCast to deliver alerts, and supervisors to monitor the beacons.
The InformaCast Wearable Alert Badge is a compact, wireless panic button that school staff can use to alert others the moment issues arise. It includes two button-press options—three presses for situations where staff require assistance, like fights in a classroom or a student health issue, and six presses for critical incidents like active shooters and medical emergencies. It communicates who needs assistance, where they’re located, and what type of situation is occurring to help ensure the right people respond quickly.
When activated, the badge:
Uses nearby BLE beacons to deliver accurate floor- and room-level location data
Relays information to InformaCast-connected devices—including desk phones, desktop computers, mobile devices, speakers, and digital signage
Initiates intrusive text, audio, and visuals to ensure messages are received and responded to as quickly as possible.
Empower staff with immediate, precise alerts to enhance school safety and incident management.

For major incidents, messages can reach local first responders directly, ensuring rapid external support and meeting the requirements of Alyssa’s Law.
