CGT’s annual survey of the technologies, strategies and processes being used for sales and marketing finds AI moving to the mainstream at a time when customer journeys are becoming more complex.
Artificial intelligence has officially moved from the experimental stage to mainstream business practice in consumer goods sales and marketing, according to the findings from CGT’s 2025 Sales & Marketing Study. While a milestone to recognize, the sobering reality is that this progress comes as CGs face an overwhelming number of nonstop hurdles coming their way — chief among them are rising customer churn rates, the need to clearly measure and demonstrate ROI, and a more complex business environment in both digital and physical channels.
