In last year’s inaugural CGT Supply Chain Technology Research Study, consumer goods leaders highlighted the growing importance of collaboration, both internally and with supply chain partners. That groundwork proved valuable in 2025 as manufacturers faced new tariffs and heightened uncertainty, relying on teamwork to stay agile and keep operations moving.
Yet the challenges persist. Tariff responses such as price adjustments, cost pass-throughs and supplier shifts have extended lead times and slowed revenue growth. While collaboration and prior tech investments have softened the impact, performance gaps remain and breakthrough AI applications are still largely experimental.
