Seven in 10 retail executives surveyed said labor was the No. 1 challenge heading into 2023. As of November 30, 2022, 879,000 retail jobs remained unfilled.
While Frontline and HQ staff is seen as a priority for 24% and 11% of retailers, workforce concerns top the list of challenges with 56% selecting it in the Top 3.
